INCREDIBLE condition and very original 1966 T5 Mustang 2DR Hardtop Coupe finished in Vintage Burgundy Metallic over Black Vinyl Bucket Seat interior and equipped with the original 200 CID 3.3L Straight 6 engine and 3spd manual transmission with floor shift. This car is in absolute show quality fully restored condition inside, outside, and underneath and is an extremely original example that presents like a very true to original showroom condition collector quality classic pony car. The body and underbody look to be very original and do NOT look like a car that was remade from an old rust bucket or something filled with body filler. The car was represented to us as original mileage and only a mildly restored original rust free body and drive train. Obviously there is no real way to verify the mileage is original, but the car definitely looks the part. The engine looks to be original and correct as well, however in a 1966 Mustang there is no such thing as a "numbers matching" engine as the cars did not have the VIN stamped on the engine. The car runs and drives absolutely incredible with surprisingly good power from the "Thriftpower" 200 Cubic Inch 3.3L straight six. The car starts right up and idles perfectly, even in cold temperatures with no issues to be disclosed and is whisper quiet, making a nice muscle car growl under full acceleration like you would not expect from a 6cyl car. The paint is in show quality condition with only very few minor miniscule imperfections to be found. The Black Vinyl Bucket interior is in amazing restored condition and very true to original as well with only a few non-original upgrades including an updated digital 2-shaft radio meant to look like the original, speakers in the rear parcel shelf, and a Classic Cruiser center console with arm rest, cupholders, and storage compartment. The panel gaps, door seals, window operation, and all little details of the car are excellent as are the lower body panels, bumpers, trim, etc. The door handles, mirrors, and a few chrome trims show a bit of patina from age but nothing that you would notice during a walkaround of the car. All glass and front and rear window trim shows very nice as you can see from the photos. If you are looking for an amazing condition and honest 66 Mustang at a great price, this is probably the best example you will find for sale anywhere!
